Blueberry baby

Well, I am eight weeks pregnant. According to my book the baby is the size of a blueberry. Here's a little insight into my day. I think most of you that read this have either gone through this or had a friend or wife go through it. This blog is merely to document for myself and perhaps get a little sympathy and pep talks!

I wake up in the morning feeling exhausted and nauseous. Toothpaste makes me sick. I cannot eat anything until I drink a little sprite. Then whatever I eat immediately makes me feel sick so I can only eat a little bit of whatever it is. A few hours later I start feeling weak and nauseous because I haven't really eaten anything. This usually makes me get extremely hot and my skin starts to get clamy. I usually fight that with a cold wet rag on my forehead. After ten minutes I usually get so cold my skin aches and I have to use a space heater for the next few hours. I get down a little lunch and feel sick for the rest of the afternoon. I am so tired all day that my eyes burn so I take a nap after work and wake up when Sam gets home. I make and eat some dinner and feel sick again. I drink some sprite in order to calm my stomach enough to take my vitamins and then I toss and turn all night. People keep telling me it is just for the first trimister, I sure hope so. :(

"One day maybe we'll find that baby makes three"

I am pregnant! I can't believe this! Sam and I have decided to start our family. He's almost done with school so the timing is perfect. Thanks to Meghan's advice I bought an ovulation test kit and also some pregnancy tests. I googled how to get pregnant. I mean...I had an idea but I was wondering if there was any tips I should know about. I stopped taking birth control in February and was supposed to start my period around March 14th. Today, on the 15th, I hadn't started so I took a test. Results come in 3 minutes but after 10 seconds there was a big purple plus sign. For some reason I thought that meant not pregnant so I started to cry and climbed back into bed. I told Sam it was negative and he pulled me closed and I just started bawling. I really believed that I was pregnant. I was so heartbroken. Sam reminded me that we read it usually takes 3 months to get pregnant after getting off birth control. I cried and cried while Sam assured me that we'd have a baby soon.
After I had calmed down Sam got up to go to the bathroom. I'm still hurting when Sam says, "Babe, I think you are pregnant." I got up and realized that the big purple plus meant pregnant! Sam hugged me so tight and we both cried. :) I still can't believe it. I took another one after breakfast and and another one Monday morning. All three came out positive too. It was one of the best days of my life! We took pictures of the tests and with the tests. I peaked at them everytime I walked past and I saw Sam doing the same. :)

Today my doctor confirmed is and I had my first ultrasound. We couldn't see anything but I am about five weeks along. Our due date is November 21st. That fits right in with Sam, Meghan, and Erica's birthdays. Three of my favorite people!

Rage versus energy

So I have this co worker that drives me up the wall. We no longer work together and I am glad. I will liken her unto that chic I worked with at TGN who pouted in a similar fashion but was always put in her place. Oh how I enjoyed that! This current chic annoys me several times a day, every day and there is nothing I can do about it. Today I emailed a simple question and got a snotty comment back that put me into a fiery rage! I responded, telling her exactly what I thought about her snotty comment and CC my boss because of course she'd send it to him. Y'all know I have quite a temper. :) I sat there ready to click send then I sat back and looked at the ceiling. I asked myself if this was worth the write up that my boss would have to give me for obvious inappropriate behavior.

Oh yes!!! It was not only worth the write up but it was worth the "I'm disappointed in you speech" that would have come with it.
I decided not to send it because of the energy it would take to fight with her. My dad once told me that everyone needs their butt kicked once in awhile to keep em in check and she is due for hers! So to conclude I'd like my girl Lynds to be ready with the bail money incase this chic catches me on a day when I've had my full eight hours!
